It's quite something to see a car of this age still being used as a taxi! As I don't really know my Datsuns, I'm hoping someone will be able to give me some more information. I'm guessing this is from the mid-late 70s. Unfortunately there were always people in or around it at this taxi rank, so I had to be a bit sneaky. Next to it you can see another elderly taxi, a Toyota Carina, and two small parts of 80s Opel Kadetts, probably the most common taxi in Ghana, even today! Bodywise this car actually looked to be in surprisingly good condition. I was hoping to get a ride in this taxi at some point, but it was always heading to "Marine", and as I didn't know where that was, I didn't want to end up getting lost! |
