Description
English: Roman glass beaker from second half of the 4th century. Found in Cologne, now in the “Römisch Germanisches Museum“.
Deutsch: Römischer Glassbecher aus der zweiten Hälfte des 4. Jahrhunderts. Das Glas wurde 1960 im Gräberbezirk eines römischen Gutshofs im Kölner Stadtteil Braunsfeld ausgegraben. Der eingearbeitete griechische Text lautet sinngemäß in der Übersetzung "Trinke, lebe schön immerdar". Ort der Ausstellung: Römisch Germanisches Museum in Köln. Die Glasart wird als Diatretglas bezeichnet.
