English: 2-6-0 pilot locomotive in the yard at Didcot. View NW from the west end of Didcot station across the yard to the Locomotive Depot, which is now the Didcot Railway Centre. The Up oil train beyond is on the avoiding line from Oxford via Didcot North Junction to Didcot East Junction. In the foreground are the Paddington - Reading - Swindon etc. main lines. The locomotive featured is Churchward 43XX 2-6-0 No. 5380 (built 4/20, withdrawn 9/63). Note the water column beside the Up Main Goods line. |
