Notes
  • Significance: Designed for Frederic Law Olmsted's brother Albert, Wildacre was Irving Gill's first commission on the East Coast. The house, with its extensive use of glass and pocket windows, invited the outside in. Gill created a picturesque mass, with varying roof slopes, that was in keeping with the landscape designed by Olmsted firm.
  • Survey number: HABS RI-343
  • Building/structure dates: 1900 Initial Construction
