Notes
  • Significance: Has many associations with the early development of medicine in Connecticut. It was the home of Dr. William Hall who also used the premises for an apothecary shop and medical school. Later residence of Dr. Thomas Minor who published five books on various medical subjects and was active in the establishment of several medical institutions in Connecticut.

English: 171 Main Street, former Hall House, built 1796. According to the NRHP nomination "Originally, it was a conventional two-and-one-half-story, five-bay structure. A third floor added in the 1870s, storefronts installed in the 20th century..." As of 2012, location is part of Middlesex Plaza. I am not sure any of Hall House survives.
