Description
English: The public toilets at the end of the Esplanade, East Cowes, Isle of Wight. They are at the town centre end, at the junction with Columbine Road/Albany Road. These toilets were at risk of closure due to spending cuts by the Isle of Wight Council, who had - amongst serious controversy - proposed closing a number of the island's public toilets down. These toilets happened to be closed at the time, and it was quite clear from the smell and liquid around the building that people needing the toilet had had to go there anyway, outside the building... This photo looks over to the town of Cowes, the other side of the harbour.
