Een veestapel naar Indonesie; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 7 uit 1949.; In de haven van Rotterdam neemt een schip twee bijzondere ladingen in, bestemd voor Indonesië. Eerst wordt door hijskranen een nieuwe autobus aan boord getakeld, bestemd voor de verbinding Batavia-Tandjong Priok. Ook worden kooien aan boord gehesen waarin zich koeien, varkens en kippen bevinden. Ook deze worden aan dek opgesteld. De dieren zijn eigendom van de heer De Bruin die zelf actief meehelpt bij het verladen. Aan dek worden de koeien gevoederd met hooi. Javaanse bedienden aaien geamuseerd de koeien. De Bruin vertrekt naar Nederlands-Indië om, nadat zijn eerste boerderij aldaar in de oorlog werd verwoest, er voor de tweede keer een boerenbedrijf te beginnen.
