English: An empty property that doesn't seem to serve any purpose at all: according to aerial photographs this lot has remained empty for a decade. The industrial area in Hakkila by the rail yard has a sort of silent, wistful vibe in it, since there's hardly any traffic here these days. Only small signs of former glory can be seen as several dismantled branch lines and these wasteland-like empty properties.
Suomi: Tyhjä tontti Hakintien varrella Hakkilassa. Ilmakuvien mukaan asfalttikentällä on vielä 1990-luvun lopussa ollut kontteja ja muuta varastointia, mutta sittemmin alue on jätetty ilmeisen joutomaaksi. Taustalla aidan takana näkyy parkkipaikka, jota käyttää viereisen Keskon keskusvaraston työntekijät. Oikealla näkyvän puskan takana kulki vielä muutamia vuosia sitten DHL:n pistoraide, joka purettiin vuonna 2018. Alueen tyhjyys johtunee ainakin osittain siitä, että Vantaan kaupunki on jo tovin pitänyt koko Hakkilan hiekkakuopan aluetta rakentamiskiellossa, toiveenaan purkaa Santarata uuden katurakentamisen tieltä. |
