Description 1881 Illustrated London News engraving of the former Eridge Castle, designed 1787 by Taylor, built by the 2nd Earl of Abergavenny, extended to the Gothic Revival design of William Wyatt, demolished 1938. In the 19th century it was the home of the Marquis of Abergavenny.
