Notes
  • Significance: This 2-1/2 story brick house was built by the Clarke family (ca 1830) who settled in Spencer Co. in the late 18th Century and developed the site for agricultural use. The site and house exemplify the type of agricultural land use present in Spencer Co. into the 20th Century. The original brick core is of the "I" type, with a central chimney, a characteristic considered unusual in Kentucky.
  • Survey number: HABS KY-181
