Beskrivning: Oljemålning VANADIS. Ram: Förgylld ornerad. Motivet visar fregatten Vanadis under segel, passerande Fakarava, en av Tuamotöarna, Franska Polynesien, Söderhavet. Hägg har använt sig av motivet på ett fotografi, som togs av Vanadis 1884. Man lägger på detta märke till att några kanoter, s.k. utriggade farkoster har samma läge i fotots bildfält som på målningen. Samma motiv (=Häggs målning) pryder omslaget till den av Erik Lehman 1927 utgivna boken "Med fregatten Vanadis på världsomsegling", vari f.d. båtsmannen Humbla skildrar sina minnen.
