English: Ex-LB&SCR 0-6-2T 'Birch Grove' at Sheffield Park, Bluebell Railway. View northward, towards Horsted Keynes - also East Grinstead on the original LB&SC line from Lewes, closed in 1958. Now looking splendid in its original livery, R. Billinton E4 No. 473 was built 8/1898, withdrawn as 32473 10/62. (Cf. TQ3378 : Ex-LB&SCR 0-6-2T at Bricklayer's Arms Locomotive Depot). [Note the smartly dressed children, my son being the one seated]. |
