Description
English: Looking east at the Academic Core Building of York College (94-20 Brewer Boulevard), at 160th Street just north of Liberty Avenue in Jamaica / South Jamaica, Queens. Note the grate on the sidewalk next to the car; this is (I believe) the south end of the IND subway past Jamaica Center. Under the original Archer Avenue Subway plans, the line was to have curved southwest from here in order to merge with the LIRR Atlantic (Locust Manor) branch towards Springfield Gardens. Construction was stopped somewhere between here and South Road on block south. Looking from a Far Rockaway-bound Q113 Limited bus.
