Gerrit Schulte wint de tweede ronde van Nederland; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 20 uit 1949.; Wielrennen: op 6 mei begon in Amsterdam de Ronde van Nederland. Beelden van de etappe in Zuid-Limburg en van de laatste etappe, eindigend in Amsterdam. De laatste etappe wordt gewonnen door Gerrit (Gerard?) van Beek; de Ronde als totaal wordt gewonnen door Gerrit Schulte. SHOTS: - de renners rijden door het Limburgse heuvellandschap; door de straten van Valkenburg en beklimmen de Cauberg waarbij oa voorbijrijdt Gerrit Schulte (nr. 33); - de renners starten in Scheveningen; rijden door de straten en over de snelweg; - Gerrit van Beek ontsnapt aan het peloton; de camera volgt hem tijdens zijn eenzame rit door de straten van Utrecht, Hilversum en Amsterdam; bij zijn binnenkomst in het Olympisch Stadion via de Marathonpoort en de daaraanvolgende finish; - enkele ogenblikken later volgt het peloton; de sprint op de baan wordt gewonnen door Gerrit (Gerard?) Peters; - Gerrit Schulte wordt gehuldigd.
