Description

In the afternoon and night of January 25, 1918, Dunkerque, while under direct fire from an artillery piece 380, was not less than three times bombed by German planes. But these attacks cost the enemy two airplanes: a fighter shot down by one of ours and a large <<Gotha>> bomber, with colorful camouflage, which, hit by our anti-aircraft artillery, went down at Zuydcoote coast, the three airmen that flew the plane were captured before they could set fire to the airplane which is now exposed at Dunkerque.
