Dit toernooi, tgv het 75-jarig bestaan georganiseerd door de schaakclub "Staunton", wordt bij de kijkers ingeleid door Max Euwe. Deelnemers zijn oa de grootmeesters M.M. Botwinnik, Szabó en Smyslov.
