Français : Modèle original en plâtre d'une statue de Georg-Friedrich Haendel par le sculpteur Jules Salmson (1823-1902). Commandée par Charles Garnier pour le décor de l'Opéra de Paris, elle date de 1874. C'est le modèle d'une des quatre statues monumentales du grand vestibule du premier étage de l'Opéra. Elle a été exécutée en marbre entre 1887 et 1888. Conservé à La Piscine, Musée d'Art et d'Industrie (Roubaix) (n° inventaire : 3153-878-26). |
