Nederlands: Film te gebruiken bij plantkunde.; Het verhaal speelt zich af in een Haagse schooltuin. We zien jonge kiemplanten zich ontwikkelen uit de kiem van zaden, in dit geval van bruine bonen. Groeiprocessen worden versneld getoond: Zwellen van de boon, het kiemen en uitgroeien van jonge boonplanten. De functie van de zaadlobben wordt in beeld gebracht. In trossen met vlinderbloemige bloemen bloeit de plant. Uiteindelijk worden de planten in hun geheel uit de grond getrokken en te drogen gehangen. Een gedroogde peulvrucht wordt opengedopt: Zeven glimmende bonen komen te voorschijn.
