Deutsch: Der Bremer Senator Johann Smidt, Radierung (Physionotrace) von Edme Bouchardy, Paris 1814. Smidt, der berühmte spätere Bürgermeister Bremens, war 1814 zum zweiten mal als Bremischer Senator in Paris, um nach dem Ende der napoleonischen Herrschaft in den Hansestädten deren Interessen bei der französischen Diplomatie zu vertreten. Physionotrace war ein spezielles Verfahren, Profilansichten in kleine Rundbilder umzusetzen, die in Kupfer gestochen wurden.
