Knocke helpt Sluis; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 2 uit 1949.; In de Tweede Wereldoorlog is de plaats Sluis ernstig beschadigd. De Belgische plaats Knokke heeft Sluis sinds die tijd altijd zoveel mogelijk geholpen en deze hulpverlening wordt bekroond met een lading textiel, bestemd voor de bevolking van Sluis. SHOTS: - ext. beschadigde gebouwen in Sluis, oa verwoeste stadhuis; - bouwvakkers werken aan nieuwe woning; div. nieuwbouwhuizen en woonwijken zijn al klaar; - Belgische vrachtauto stopt bij het tijdelijke stadhuis van Sluis; de lading textiel wordt via een menselijke ketting naar binnen doorgegeven; - de bevolking gaat het stadhuis binnen en neemt in de raadzaal de spullen in ontvangst; - het gemeentebestuur van Sluis overhandigt de burgemeester van Knokke een gedenkschaal van Delfts blauw als bewijs van dankbaarheid.
