English: Major Gabriel Patricio, Lead for the Combat Utility Uniform Project, briefs General James L. Jones, the 32nd Commandant of the Marine, and Sergeant Major Alford L. McMicheal, the 14th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, on the status of the project prior to delivering prototype uniforms to test groups with the three Marine Expeditionary Forces. Major Patricio holds a prototype pair of new hot weather boots, which will be tested along with the new uniform. The "jungle" style boot has rough side out leather for an upper with the Marine Corps emblem stamped on the outside ankles. Also being tested, but not shown here, is an updated version of the Infantry Combat Boot, which also has rough side-out leather for its uppers.
