DescriptionMormon Tabernacle Interior 1897.jpg |
English: Photo of Salt Lake Tabernacle interior taken by H. S. Poley in 1897.
The Tabernacle is decorated with US flags in celebration of Utah statehood (granted 1896) and the 50 year anniversary of Mormon pioneers entering Salt Lake Valley in 1847. Notice the organ, which is smaller than in later photos of the pipe organ. The Salt Lake Tabernacle is a historic building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. |
