  • Significance: One of two original double NCO Quarters, this duplex is identical in plan to #907. Completed December 30, 1899, from QMGO Plan No. 82-B. Original cost: $3,218. Two and one-half story and basement frame structure with sandstone and brick foundation. Dimensions of original: 38' x 27', kitchen wings: 10' x 38'. Lapped cedar siding. Simple gabled roof clad with asphalt shingles replacing original slate. Decorative brackets at cornice. Six-over-six light, double-hung sash. Full-width porch with columns, pipe railings, and roll roofing. Interior is a mirror image duplex. Open rear porches enclosed and converted to kitchens in 1937. Maple flooring downstairs, vinyl tile on second floor and attic (date uncertain). Bathrooms updated. Coal stove heating now replaced by hot water boiler, 1961. Electricity replaced mineral oil lamps ca. 1908. Louvered shutters removed (date uncertain).
