Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.; Bij Arkel ligt, aan de Linge, het oudste stoomgemaal van Nederland. Het wordt niet meer gebruikt. De waterstand in het gebied wordt tegenwoordig geregeld met het moderne motorgemaal "Dr. G. Kolff(?)" in Hardinxveld en het stoomgemaal zal daarom worden afgebroken. Vóórdat hiermee een aanvang wordt genomen, laat men de stoommachines van het oude gemaal nog één keer draaien. SHOTS: - Ext. watermolen met scheprad; - ext. stoomgemaal en int. met stoomketels, machines en scheprad; - ext. motorgemaal en int. met dieselmotoren, pompen en pijpleidingen. Aantekening : De naam "Kolff" kan eventueel zijn "Kalff".
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.; By the Linge near Arkel lies the oldest steam pumping-station in the Netherlands. It's no longer in use. Because the water level in the area is now controlled by the modern motor pumping-station "Dr. G. Kolff(?)" in Hardinxveld, the steam pumping-station will be demolished. The steam engines of the old pumping-station run one last time before the demolition starts. SHOTS: - Ext. water mill with water wheel; - ext. steam pumping-station and int. with boilers, machines and water wheel; - ext. motor pumping station and int. with diesel engines, pumps and pipeworks. Note : The name "Kolff" could be "Kalff".
