Nederlands: Film op basis waarvan de Waddeneilanden behandeld kunnen worden.; Een vrachtschip bepaalt zijn plaats door middel van twee vuurtorens waarvan één: De Brandaris. De Brandaris zendt zijn stralenbundels over zee. Vanaf de vuurtoren een overzicht over het eiland. Een boer maakt met paard en kar een tocht over het strand, de Boschplaat (meeuwenkolonie) en de Waddenkust om aangespoeld hout te verzamelen. De boer komt met de lijnboot naar West-Terschelling. Als hij met de bus naar huis gaat, krijgen wij een overzicht van het eiland. 's Avonds worden lampen aangestoken en gaat de Brandaris zijn functie van vuurtoren vervullen.
