Object history | In 1850, the Fribourg government ordered a monument in honour of Père Girard from the Bernese sculptor Joseph Simon Volmar. It was inaugurated ten years later in the city of Fribourg. Raphael Christen, pupil of Volmar, created two reliefs shortly afterwards, which were attached to the pedestal of the Père Girard monument. | ||
