  • Significance: Building 1929 is a representative example of a Dispatcher House constructed according to the 800 Series of standard construction designs developed by the War Department for the mobilization effort during World War II. Building 1929 was determined to be a relatively unaltered example of this building type. This building retains much of its original character based on the plans that are located at Fort Hood and reflects the construction techniques that were utilized on most World War II-era temporary structures.
