| Description |
English: Paddington - Hereford express entering Reading. View eastward, towards London; ex-GWR Paddington - Reading - Bristol and the West main line; also, to the separate Reading South station on the right, ex-South Eastern & Chatham lines from Redhill and London & South Western from Waterloo. The 15.15 Paddington - Hereford express will run via Oxford and Worcester and is headed by No. 5011 'Tintagel Castle' (built 9/27, withdrawn 9/62). Behind it is the large Reading Main Line East Box, which as well as controlling all the lines at this end of the GW station dealt with the older of the connections with the SR. Reading South SR Box can be seen on the right. |
