SS "MEERKERK" OP EEN MIJN GELOPEN; Weekjournaal van Polygoon Hollands Nieuws van week 28 uit 1946.; Het Nederlandse schip "Meerkerk" loopt bij Westkapelle op een uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog achtergebleven zeemijn en breekt daarbij in twee stukken. De twee stukken steken nog gedeeltelijk boven water uit. De lading wordt zoveel mogelijk geborgen en overgeladen in kleinere schepen.
