| Description |
English: Southern Vectis 611 Alice (R851 LDF), a Mezzo P90 Road Train (owned by the Isle of Wight Council) on the Esplanade, Ryde, Isle of Wight, as the terminus of the road train service that ran in the summer between Ryde town and Puckpool Park. The road trains in both Ryde and Shanklin are due to be withdrawn by the end of Summer 2010. At the end of the Summer 2010 season, the road trains were withdrawn from service, a decision made by owners Isle of Wight Council. It was due to the increasing age of the vehicles and the increasing difficulty of being able to source spare parts for them. They have since been sold on to Welsh owners. |
