| Description |
English: Suðuroyingur is a Faroese wooden rowboat from the island Suðuroy. It is named after the island (it means: comes from Suðuroy). The boat belongs to the new rowing club Suðuroyar Kappróðrarfelag, which was founded in 2011. Here they are on their way out to the starting point for the Fjarðastevna Cup 2012 in Vestmanna.
Føroyskt: Suðuroyingur er eitt 10-mannafar hjá Suðuroyar Kappróðrarfelag. Sámal Hansen smíðaði henda bátin í 2011-2012. Hetta er fyrsta árið, at báturin og felagið luttekur í føroyskum kappróðri. Suðuroyingur varð nummar tvey á Norðoyastevnu og á Vestanstevnu, nummar trý á Sundalagsstevnu og nummar eitt á Jóansøku. Á Fjarðastevnu gjørdist hann nummar tvey og á Vestanstevnu gjørdist hann nummar trý. Flestu róðrarnar hava verið sera tættir, serliga millum tríggjar teir fremstu bátarnar: Klaksvíking, Suðuroying og Vestmenning, við einum sekundi ella brotpartar av einum sekundi ímillum teir. |
