Français : Colorisation d'une gravure présentant la tenue testée en 1903 par le 28e régiment d'infanterie.

Infanterie - dernière tenue à l'essai (1903-1904)

Soldat. Tenue de service (28e de ligne, en garnison à Paris)

Vareuse en drap gris-bleu, à collet rabattu en drap du fond avec grenades et numéros du corps garances, épaulettes écarlates, boutons bronzés.

Pantalon en drap gris-bleu.

Chapeau en feutre gris-bleu, ruban noir, cocarde tricolore avec petit bouton de cuir au centre. Buffleterie noire.

Les officiers ont la même tenue en drap fin ; le collet porte des pattes garance et les grenades et numéros brodés en or ; au chapeau le ruban noir est remplacé par un cordon de soie bleue, une grenade dorée est placée sur le bord supérieur relevé du chapeau. Épaulettes du grade en or ; ceinture en or rayé de rouge ; passepoil rouge au pantalon. Le tapis de selle des chevaux des officiers montés est gris-bleu foncé, bordé d'un galon garance et orné aux angles postérieurs d'une grenade également garance.
