Description
English: The grand vizier Shah Quli Khan presents a ring, attributed to Muhammad Sultani, Iran, dated 1694-95

Pigments, gold, silver, and ink on paper; sheet: 47.5 × 33 cm, image: 22.2 × 30.3 cm. St. Petersburg, Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Oriental Manuscripts, E-14, fol. 97r

Ivanov has plausibly attributed the picture to Muhammad Sultani, although the style seems more like that of Muhammad Zaman. This is apparent in the slim tree with a thick, bushy crowns in the background, for example, in the bark of the trees closer to the foreground, and even in Shah Quli Khan's facial features. The inscription likewise appears to point to Zaman.
