Summary edit
DescriptionTimimus Skeletal V1.svg |
English: Skeletal reconstruction of Timimus hermani, an enigmatic Australian coelurosaur. It is generally thought to be a basal tyrannosauroid, although it has been previously placed in Ornithomimidae and Dromaeosauridae. This reconstruction shows the holotype specimen, NMV P186303, a left femur. An additional specimen, NMV P186323, another, smaller, left femur, was also referred to T. hermani. Its affinities actually appear to lie within Maniraptora, however.
