Description
Nederlands: Jean (12.06.1885) werd ingeloot in 1905 als soldaat tweede klasse bij het derde linieregiment en hij werd opgeroepen in 1914 om dienst te doen bij de eerste legerdivisie, afdeling genietroepen. Tijdens zijn verlof heeft hij in Frankrijk, in Les Sables d'Olonnes zijn echtgenote Philomena (29.05.1893),een Belgische vluchtelinge, leren kennen. Zij zijn er getrouwd in 1916 op 06 januari. Zijn echtgenote had voor het huwelijk reeds een kind, Yvonne, geboren op 06.11.13 in Ruisbroek/België. Hij heeft dit kind gelegitimeerd, zoals vermeld staat in het trouwboekje. Zijn echtgenote bleef in Frankrijk. Hun dochter, Juliette, werd daar geboren op 23.02.1917. Na de oorlog vestigde het gezin zich in Mechelen waar Jean aan de slag ging als sculpteur voor Mechelse meubelbedrijven. Hij overleed op 04.12.60 en werd met militaire eer begraven. Zijn vrouw volgde hem op 19.10.1974.
