Description
English: Signs at the gate to the footpath leading down a hill to the beach along Long Island Sound at Wildwood State Park in Wading River, New York, which also contains a chain-link fence with a currently open gate and a series of restriction signs. The signposts and frames appear to be a typical Robert Moses-era park and parkway sign. Next to the symbol signs of restrictions is a list of items forbidden from the beach. They include the following;
  • Flotation devices and boats
  • Scuba and skin diving equipment
  • Rollerblades
  • Skateboards
  • Alcohol
  • Pets
  • Paddle boards and Kayaks, except on weekdays, unless they're holidays.
    Though some restrictions seem reasonable, it doesn't seem like you can do that much there. Also note that the bathrooms were closed for the fall and winter, which means if you had to relieve yourself, you'd have to do it in the woods and hope you don't get caught.
