Notes
  • Significance: The William H. Culmer House, with its pretensions to the Second Empire Style, represents an intermediate period of luxury home construction. It was built between the earlier homes of ecclesiastical and business leaders and the later period of mining magnate mansions. The interior of the house contains fine decorative details and a unique series of secco paintings by the owner's brother, a nationally recognized painter of western landscapes.
