Please do not vandalise the map adding unsourced claims. Alexikoua (talk) 07:22, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tell me one unsourced claim? The fact is that you created a map on modern estimations using as a primary source a map of 1918, and deliberately didn't include that in all those districts Albanians form the majority. You are pov-pushing here, and trying to add the same image in many wikipedias. Now if your fellow tagteamers join the conversation it will be more than clear that you have been canvassing as always.--Sarandioti (talk) 11:00, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

"@ignore trolling: Since no source is given, it's simple wp:idontlike version.Alexikoua (talk) 11:27, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Alexikoua created a map adding the area of Gjirokaster inhabited by greeks, although as the source used in en-wiki for the minority in Gjirokaster city the greek population is minority of 4000 in a total population of 30000.[1]. There is a similar situation in all the other major cities and districts, and because of that I added the explanatory note, that although there is presence of non-Albanian populations, Albanians form the majority. Alexikoua well-known for his nationalist editing(and also blocked for it several times) tries to mislead the readers without mentioning which population forms the majority. Also note that he has been tagteaming with several users like Megistias.--Sarandioti (talk) 12:52, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

There are 2 sources, the more recent one is from Monte Diplimatique, as stated in the appropriate section that disaggres with this comment. What we know is that the communist regime in Albania recogniced limited zones of non Albanian majority (their extent is seen on the map). So Sar's argument isn't accepted by any side, even according to the pre-1991 tottalitarian Albanian statistics.Alexikoua (talk) 16:27, 27 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The map should clearly say percentages, otherwise is misleading. This map [2] correctly represents the minorities as per last census that indicated ethnicity. Sulmues (talk) 13:02, 21 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

There is a pretty clear "traditional areas" in the description, which you conveniently forget. In that respect, which has nothing to do with percentages in each area, the map seems pretty accurate. Also, I do not see how the 1989 map is better, since it provides no percentages or any other info for that matter, and don't tell me that it is not heavily biased too, given the Communist regime's policies on minorities. Some mistakes in the map edit

The map contains some small errors concerning the Aromanian and the Greek popoulation. In the area around Korce, there is a significant Aromanian minority living, while the Greek minority isn't as much representative. See:
1) A map from 1940 representing the datas from the Albanian statistics from 1918: [3] and [4]
2) A map from Thede Kahl, Ethnizität und räumliche Verteilung der Aromunen in Südeuropa. Münster, 1999 :[5]
It shoud be also represented the Roma minority (see the first map), located in Central, Northwestern and Eastern Albania. --Olahus (talk 07:31, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. I'll work on them as soon as I have time.Alexikoua (talk) 13:27, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
