Russian format edit

While we are updating AC templates please see my proposal at English Wikipedia to copy the Russian format into the English Wikipedia

The Russian Wikipedia adds in the most common external links to the AC template, making them standardized and very compact. Please come to wikipedia:Template talk:Authority control and see the difference and comment. Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 15:38, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Category:Wrong wikidata code in authority control data: category item edit

Please not that, as a result of Commons:Categories for discussion/2018/02/Category:Wrong wikidata code in authority control data: category item, a category used by this template has been moved. The template should be updated to reflect this change. Thanks. - Themightyquill (talk) 22:40, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Expanding to use more generally than just people? edit

Hi all. Would it be possible to significantly expand the number of ID properties that are shown in this template, so that it is useful in non-person cases? I'm currently using this in {{Wikidata Infobox}} for people, but I'm using my own (but apparently less-efficient) {{Wikidata ID}} otherwise so it can display more properties, which currently includes VIAF ID (P214), GND ID (P227), ISSN (P236), Rijksmonument ID (P359), OpenStreetMap relation ID (P402), IMO ship number (P458), MMSI (P587), NRHP reference number (P649), P727 (P727), World Heritage Site ID (P757), Asset of cultural interest code (P808), National Library of Spain ID (P950), National Heritage List for England number (P1216), kulturnoe-nasledie.ru ID (P1483), Inventari del Patrimoni Arquitectònic de Catalunya code (P1600), COAM structure ID (P2917), SIMBAD ID (P3083), Patrimonio Web JCyL ID (P3177), Zaragoza monument ID (P3178), Guía Digital del Patrimonio Cultural de Andalucía ID (P3318), SIPCA code (P3580), DOCOMOMO Ibérico ID (P3758), Czech Monument Catalogue Number (P4075), Itaú Cultural ID (P4399), Monumentos de São Paulo ID (P4360), iPatrimônio ID (P4372), Hispania Nostra Red List code (P4868), MuBE Virtual ID (P4721). Adding those that aren't currently in the infobox would be a good first step, but others would need to be added in the future. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 22:01, 2 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Support I will try to look into it (unless someone else wants to). --Jarekt (talk) 13:43, 24 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Done Mike Peel thanks for suggestion. --Jarekt (talk) 02:41, 14 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Jarekt: Could this template page not be included in Category:Pages using authority control without Wikidata link, please? That led to this accidental edit today (but I should have checked better before saving the edit, so that bad edit is completely my fault, sorry!) Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 22:57, 22 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Mike Peel, I am sorry but I am not sure what you are suggesting. How do you propose to alter Category:Pages using authority control without Wikidata link. --Jarekt (talk) 03:04, 23 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Jarekt: No change to the category, but this template should not itself appear in the category. I.e., the category should be "includeonly". Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 23:47, 23 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I excluded all the templates from all the categories set by the template. --Jarekt (talk) 00:09, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Does not match ^KA.(19|20).{7}$ pattern edit

Several uses of the template generate the mentioned error.[1] --Arnd (talk) 07:15, 17 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
