I participated in numerous photographic competitions. I participated in the various edit-o-thon. Several of my photographs have been used in non-profit, commercial, and non-commercial publications.

Photo Policy

I have a photo policy: If you are in a photograph that I take, and you do not like it, you can propose to delete it and I will not contest. Just tag it as {{delete|per w:EN:User:Geraldshields11's photograph policy}}. Please add appropriate captions to my photographs. I am trying to fight systemic bias on Wikipedia or WikiCommons.

Wiki Event Photographs

• Do not turn the photo into something it is not.
• Capture context.
• Take photos at different angles.
• Take multiple photos of the same subject. One of the photos is bound to be good.
• The need for speed and the poised pose in front of no one.
• Eyes.
• 3/4 turn to the camera.
• Talk to subject.
• Capture the best side or, at least, the context.
• Up Close is an event.
• When in all else fails, break these suggestions.
