Hi all, I am new to this but I am learning, a lot. Please forgive me if I make any errors.

I only use photos I have taken myself, or items in the public domain. To make sure I spoke to the head of my library, and she assured me that images before 1954 were ok and in the public domain. I will always state the source of any image I use. I hope to be a good Wikipedian and contribute lots of good content. I used to be a proof reader for Trans Media Corp in a previous life.

One of the images I uploaded was noticed by a robot and then it was deleted as a copyright violation. The image dates from 1882 (or slightly earlier) and is the public domain. I must have pressed the wrong buttons when I uploaded it to Commons. From what I have read a deleted file cannot be uploaded again. I would really like to put the image back in the article as it really belongs there. I also do not want to get slapped with a whale!

I've been living in the Help pages since I got here!
