Your IP address, 201.224.142.1, is registered to Cable & Wireless Panama, an Internet service provider through which many users may connect to the Internet via proxy and may be reassigned to a different person when the current user disconnects, so you might receive messages that are not intended for you.
To have your own user page and gain access to a few other special features, create an account! It's fast and free.
Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}}
as the block reason.
Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation. |
Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikimedia Commons. Thank you for your contributions.
Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Commons to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 201.224.142.1). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.
When you edit pages:
- Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add unreasonable contents into any galleries, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.
Also feel free to ask a question on my Talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to the Commons. — Jeff G. 22:50, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

May 2007 edit
Please do not just add random licenses to images or remove deletion requests. This could be considered vandalism. See Commons:Licensing for requirements for images on Wikimedia Commons. Cheers! Siebrand 21:44, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove deletion requests
Please do not remove deletion request tags from images before an administrator has closed the debate. If you do not agree that the image should be deleted, you can express your opinion on the deletion request page. You can find this page via a link in the deletion request tag or at Commons:Deletion requests. Thank you. — Jeff G. 22:50, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Edits to Ed veg's userpage
Only the user should create their userpage; if you are not User:Ed veg please do not create their userpage. You stated they were an administrator on commons, and this is not true; please do not lie or misrepresent users' status. Thank you, -- Editor at Large • talk 03:43, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Licensing
Only the copyright holder may choose a license such as {{PD-self}} for an image he or she has created. Do not arbitrarily assign licenses for other user's work ([1], [2], [3], etc) or you may be blocked. --Davepape 19:00, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
August 2007 edit
The reason for the block is available in the block log. The administrator listed there in the block log can give you further information.
See also the contributions of this user or the Upload log in order to find out why this user has been blocked.
Canadian Coat of Arms edit
Please refrain from adding the Canadian coat of arms to any images, or removing the copyright violation. As you may know, Commons is for images with free licences, and the Canadian coat of arms is copyrighted. If you continue, I will report you to administrators. Regards, -- Jeff3000 16:35, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- You have added a copyright image a second time. I will be reporting you to administrators. Regards, -- Jeff3000 16:40, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Blocked edit
Edits like this and this are disruptive and obviously indended to conceal copyright problems. You've also continued to add fraudulent source and licensing information here and here, to name a few of many, many examples. Given that you've received multiple warnings here and on other projects, I can only assume that you know exactly what you're doing and that you have no intention of ceasing your criminal activities. You've been blocked for a year. —LX (talk, contribs) 13:08, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Note to other admins: a user page for User:Ed veg was created from this IP address. It has been deleted, since it cannot be verified that the user page was created by the user to whom the account belonged. However, it is possible that the account and the IP address are connected, especially since User:Ed veg is also indefinitely blocked for copyright fraud. —LX (talk, contribs) 11:43, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. If you're concerned with privacy, registering also hides your IP address.
