Coats of arms crown addition : don't edit

Hi. Please don't add crowns to existing coat of arms images, otherwise it breaks Wikipedia/other projects aesthetics where the images are already used, especially in the case of small icons. Just create crowned coats of arms in new files instead. Thanks. — Bjung (talk) 07:18, 16 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

OK I'll create new ones

Attribution edit

Hello Benzebuth198. Someone complained that files you uploaded are derivs of other files and that the previous contributors weren't properly attributed (.e.g. [1], [2]). I reverted the edits, because this is not a reason for deletion. I do not know if the files are really derivatives, however I am just reminding you that according to the CC-BY-SA license you have to properly attribute previous contributors in the image information (in the Source/Author field). So if this information is missing, it should be filled in the image descriptions. Regards, and keep up the good svg work :) - Badseed talk 22:41, 11 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sorry :(, I become so accustomed to the "CC0" that I didn't take care of the " Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported". I've now attributed the work in source/author. It is ok now ? If not, don't hesitate to tell it to me.--Benzebuth198 (talk) 14:17, 12 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Coat of arms of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre edit

Hi, I'm writing an article about the coat of arms of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, I've just watched the CoA on commons and in a book I own... In the book the paws of the greyhounds don't overlap the escucheon. Could you please change the CoA so the front paws touch the sides of the escucheon? Compare the arms on the site of the municipality. No need to make the oval shaped escucheon smaller, just move the dogs a bit more to the sides. If you need help, just ask Adelbrecht/Lemmens, Tom or Archmedus, both are well known with the heraldry of the Low Countries. Thank you in advance, Dqfn13 (talk) 10:59, 16 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi, first of all thanks to you to write an article over heraldry (mainly over Belgian heraldry :p). Then, I changed the CoA but I'm not sure it looks better now.It can stay like this for me, but I think it was more "natural" for the dogs to hold the escutheon between their paws. Furthemore, no (heraldic) error was done on the past version. In all cases, good continuation on wiki ! --Benzebuth198 (talk) 14:45, 23 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

PS: Woluwe-Saint-Pierre is in Belgium, not in Low Countries (even if I dont know from where came the Hinnisdael Family, which gave his arms to the municipality), good to know if you wanna write an article over it :p

Low Countries revers to Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. They use mainly the same rules as they became seperate countries only in 1830 (Belgium) and 1890 (Luxembourg). I must admit, Archmedus is more knowledged about the Netherlands. Dqfn13 (talk) 20:48, 23 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
