Vorjury und weiterer Wettbewerb

Die Anmeldung verpflichtet nicht zum Arbeiten. Falls das Bewerten nach 10 Bildern keinen Spaß mehr macht, kannst Du ohne Angabe von Gründen aufhören. Der bisherige Rekord dieses Jahr liegt bei 22695 bewerteten Bildern, ich habe selbst bisher nur 115 bewertet. Die Bilder haben bisher im Schnitt 3,38 Bewertungen. WLE Neue Kategorie

Hallo! Du hast mir (uns) auf der Wiki-Con von einer neuen Kategorie in Bezug auf WLE berichtet (im Sinne von Hochladen: Ja, aber nicht in die Wertung kommend). Diese sollte der sowohl der Vorjury und auch der Jury Arbeit und Zeit ersparen. Du wolltest mir dazu noch eine kurze Erklärung schicken. Eine Frage habe ich gleich noch dazu: Würden die Fotos trotzdem auch in die Anzahl der insgesamt hochgeladenen Dateien einfließen oder blieben sie davon quasi "außen vor" ? Hallo Ragnar, das habe ich nicht vergessen, nur hinausgeschoben. Die Category:Images from Wiki Loves Earth 2017 in Germany outside of the competition gab es dieses Jahr schon. Wenn sie zusätzlich beim Upload angegeben wird, gehen die Bilder automatisch nicht an Vorjury und Jury. Zur Gesamtzahl der Bilder tragen sie trotzdem bei. Hallo Ragnar, schön dass Du wieder dabei bist. Die ...outside of the competition-Kategorie wird später in kleinerer Schrift und unter "Hidden categories" angezeigt, siehe z. B. hier. Daher würde ich die wichtigere Gebietskategorie zuerst eintragen und dann die "outside"-Kategorie. Überkategorisierung

Hallo! Ich habe gerade gesehen, dass du bei etlichen Bildern die Kategorie Category:Nationalpark Niedersächsisches Wattenmeer ergänzt hast, z. B. bei File:Norderney, Naturpark -- 2018 -- 0939.jpg. Entfernst du sie bitte wieder. Norderney selbst ist bereits in dieser Kategorie und so ist es überkategorisiert. Schau bitte auch mal unter COM:OVERCAT nach. Dass der Nationalpark über Category:East Frisian Islands reinkommt, habe ich bei den vielen schon vorhandenen Kategorien übersehen. Könntest Du die Dateien bei Gelegenheit umbenennen? Es gibt keinen Naturpark auf Norderney. --Blech (talk) 06:32, 6 May 2018 (UTC)

Kategorisierung Altkönig

Hallo, du hast bei einigen meiner Fotos die Kategorie von Category:Altkönig in Category:Naturschutzgebiet Altkönig geändert. Ich finde das jedoch nicht sinnvoll, da der Altkönig ein Berg im Naturschutzgebiet Altkönig ist und daher Altkönig als Kategorie deutlich genauer ist.--GPSLeo (talk) 09:44, 19 May 2018 (UTC)

Für WLE versuche ich alle Bilder in die passende Schutzgebietskategorie zu bringen. Liegt der Altkönig komplett im Naturschutzgebiet Altkönig? Dann ist es einfach, Category:Altkönig wird eine Unterkategorie von Category:Naturschutzgebiet Altkönig und bei den Bildern kommt wieder die Kategorie Altkönig hinein. --Blech (talk) 21:00, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2017.

Round 2 will end on 22 July 2018, 23:59 UTC.

Mail 10. Platz WLE 2018 D

Hallo Blech, ich habe gerade Deine Mail gefunden, die mich über 10. (und 68.) Platz bei WLE 2018 samt 50 € informiert. Ich habe mich tierisch gefreut!! Irrerweise hat sie mich auf Menorca im Urlaub erreicht, an genau dem Tag, als mein Sohn und ich unseren hart erkämpften Tauchschein gemacht haben. Ein vieldimensionaler Festtag!!! Danke für Dein Engagement und die tolle Nachricht, in den nächsten Tagen folgen meine Details an das Commons-Team.

Ich stolpere noch immer durch das labyrinthine Wiki*-Handling und mache hier bestimmt diverses falsch, kann mit der Kamera deutlich besser umgehen, aber die Nachricht wird schon irgendwie ankommen. --Stefan Koehler MD (talk) 19:35, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
