Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Пожалуйста, не портьте карты

Да, возможно, у Вас другое понимание цветов, чем у участников проекта Крым, но при перезаливке не ухудшайте качество карт, пожалуйста. То что вы сделали с Керченским полуостровом (Ленинским районом) - просто ужасно -- А.Крымов (talk) 19:08, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

• Добрый вечер. Цвета я брал из аналогичных позиционных карт для других районов. Если бы у меня был оригинал в векторе - я бы с удовольствием его отредактировал с сохранением качества. Я согласен с тем, что в 100% размере карты выглядят неидеально, но я-то их проверял не в таком размере, а в статьях, подобных этой: ru:Грушевка (Судакский городской совет). И карты перекрашивал не по своей прихоти, а ввиду высказанных к ним вполне обоснованных претензий: ru:Википедия:К удалению/6 марта 2012#Шаблон:ПозКарта Украина Крым Ленинский район. Повторюсь, если вы подскажете, где взять карту этого района в векторном формате, я с удовольствием перезалью карту с цветами, согласованными с цветами на других картах Крыма. --D.bratchuk (talk) 21:48, 18 December 2012 (UTC)
  • Поскольку я был категорически против мнения о необходимости перекраски карт, то могу лишь обратить Ваше внимание на проблему (или ярко, но качественно; или стандартизировано, но некачественно). Исходники выданы не будут. Если я ещё имею желание что-то улучшать в проектах фонда Викимедиа, то автор этих карт (вложивший много времени в них, в том числе и в подбор цветов) с проектами Фонда больше не сотрудничает. SGKozlova [Ticket#2015091110003824] license permission

Dear Denis Bratchuk,

на адрес permissions-ru@wikimedia.org   были пересланы запросы на 
разрешение  от Н.И. Мацкевич (фотограф конференции), редакции газеты "Наука в Сибири", от А.А.Давыдова (фотографа Института физики г. Красноярск)  и от С.Г. Козловой   для 
создания странички для С.П. Габуды.

К сожалению, мы не получили ответа на наши запросы, и участник JuTa удалила все фотографии со странички Святослава Петровича Габуды. На наш вопрос почему это было сделано, сказано обращаться к Вам!

Пожалуйста, помогите выйти из этого круга. Вопрос касается умершего человека.....

Удаление картинок у SGKozlova

Мне сообщили, что запросы на разрешение размещения картинок на страничке, сделанной мною, были найдены. Пожалуйста, объясните, что мешает восстановить картинки? Могу ли я быть чем-то полезной? Все что в моих силах я сделаю.
