He visto nuevamente que usted ha ingresado una nueva versión totalmente errónea de este mapa. Le dejare muy en claro que lo que esta haciendo es mal informar y tratar de imponer una realidad nacionalista respecto al mapa. Le comunico que el mapa que estoy nuevamente colocando (que es el inicial) demuestra lo siguiente:

De color verde claro se demuestra la extensión "nominal" inicial del virreinato del Perú creado en 1542, bajo la jurisdicción de todos los territorios españoles correspondientes en América del sur según el TRATADO DE TORDESILLAS, es por ello que se extiende hasta el limite de esa línea que separaba los territorios españoles y portugueses, que luego se hayan modificado los limites es otro tema alejado a lo que se quiere mostrar en este mapa, que es la extensión inicial del virreinato del Perú. Entonces le debe quedar claro que para 1542 fecha en que fue creado el virreinato su jurisdicción abarcaba hasta la línea de Tardecillas, incluyendo el este de Brasil, la Patagonia y el sur de Venezuela (no toda Venezuela como usted menciona).

El color verde oscuro demuestra la extensión del virreinato del Perú en 1810, fecha en que todas las republicas que se independizaron de España, toman como base para su demarcación territorial de sus territorios luego de haber obtenido la independencia. Para "1810", el virreinato del Perú abarcaba la gobernación de Guayaquil (que en 1803 había por real cedula vuelto a formar parte del virreinato del Perú) y la gobernación de maynas (que en 1802 fue incorporado al virreinato del Perú por real cedula). Así que le agradecería que dejase estar revirtiendo la imagen.

Debe comprender que si el mapa hubiera estado equivocado o erróneo, como trata de querer demostrar equivocadamente, entonces hace tiempo que debieron haberlo modificado sabe que varios foristas han participado en diferentes artículos acerca del virreinato del Perú y nadie ha puesto objeción acerca de la veracidad del mapa. En todo casi si esta desinformado le sugiero leer los artículos de wikipedia de:

Organización territorial del virreinato del Perú
Tratado de Tardecillas
Historia de la Patagonia
Real Audiencia de Panamá, entre otros

Le informo que si usted vuelve nuevamente a subir la versión (creada por usted bajo su punto de vista) será denunciado ante un bibliotecario tanto wikimedia commons, como en la wikipedia en español, por tratar de vandalizar el mapa, creo que ya tiene antecedentes respecto a este tipo de actos como con los Mapas de América del usuario Shadowxfox, así que cualquier duda o cambio primero debe tratar de informar al creador de mapa e incluso dar su punto de vista en la propia pagina de discusión de la imagen o del articulo principal.--Edubucher (talk) 20:35, 29 September 2011 (UTC)

Confederación Peru-Bolivia

Si ya existe un archivo con tu punto de vista (File:ConfederaciónPerú-Bolivia div.png) en el cual Maynas es parte integrante del Ecuador, para que modificas este otro File:ConfederaciónPerú-Boliviana div.png? Según la historiografía peruana, Maynas y el sur de la actual Colombia era territorio oficial del país, asi que no le veo nada de malo mostrar ambos puntos de vista. Si realmente se hicieran mapas de "territorios oficiales" entonces tendría que pedir el borrado de tus mapas Category:Territorial evolution of Ecuador porque desde el punto de vista de mi país (Colombia) estas usurpando regiones que oficialmente le han pertenecido. Te pido que revisas los colores de la bandera del Azuay. Yo cuando hice la inversión no solo me basé en los conocimientos míos (vivo en Cuenca y una advertencia de nuestros profesores escolares siempre fue que la bandera del Azuay es la de Cuenca invertida) sino también me basé en información dada por el INEC. However, the quality and composition are not enough to apply to FP status. Hola David C. S., agradesco tu colaboración con la Wikipedia pero el archivo que has subido, puede no ser correcto. Si revisas las siguientes páginas:

La Provncia de El Oro - Machala.
La página de la Ilustre Municipalidad de Machala, incluso en sus fotos: MACHALA La Nueva Ciudad! (sección: Parque Monumento al Bananero).

Podrás apreciar que los colores de la bandera, especialmente en la sección inferior son más parecidos a File:Machala Flag.svg. PAULOGARCIA2005 (talk) 19:06, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Además, como recomendación, si ya existe el archivo pero piensas que sus colores pueden no ser los correctos, puedes subir una nueva versión para así no tener que subir un archivo diferente. Banderas de las provincias de Ecuador

Hola David! Muchas gracias por fijarte en mi trabajo, y gracias por llevar a cabo la revisión. Te comento la razón de las modificaciones:

Sobre la bandera de Galápagos, me decidí por el celeste porque buscando referencias sobre esta bandera descubrí esta fotografía, [1] cuya tonalidad celeste no deja lugar a dudas. Hay otras referencias escritas, como la prensa [2] que nos orienta en esta dirección. De todas formas, lo ideal sería buscar una referencia oficial, sea fotografía o texto más esclarecedor.

Sobre Loja, descubrí muchas banderas, acabé entendiendo que el diseño se ha ido modificando con el paso del tiempo, ampliándose el número de estrellas ajustándose a la creación de nuevos cantones en esa provincia. Una de las fotografías más actuales que encontré, figura en un puesto oficial, por lo que creo que es válida. Aquí y aquí principalmente. Al parecer, de la alineación en curva se pasó a la circular, seguramente no hace mucho tiempo.

Finalmente, sobre Zamora Chinchipe, parece que mi nuevo diseño se ajusta al actual de la bandera. En Google encontré ambas formas, pero la fotografía de un edificio oficial ecuatoriano aquí dislumbra muchas aclaraciones. Desde luego, y debido al diseño de la página web provincial que me avanzabas, sospecho que no han actualizado la sección de la bandera en mucho tiempo.

En consecuencia entiendo que la información disponible online sobre las banderas provinciales es muy limitada, y dada la confusión en varias de ellas, se constanta que no son símbolos muy visibles en la vida pública del país. Añado que tienes que cambiar la autoría respecto a File:Escudo de Chimborazo.png ya que está extraído de la bandera que realicé. En realidad propondría que eliminaras el archivo, puesto que la bandera de la que extrajiste mi dibujo es vectorial, más adecuado que PNG. --HansenBCN (talk) 13:59, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
