Change image description edit

Hello Herbythyme, can you change the description of this picture from the Portuguese version? The description says "Pussia," but it should say Rússia. Eduardo Augusto (talk) 23:16, 24 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

As far as I can see the Portuguese says BRICS which is probably OK unless I'm looking in the wrong place? Herby talk thyme 06:23, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
The description in Portuguese of the image is incorrect, the acronym BRICS is correct, but the description says: BRICS - Brasil, Рússia, Índia, República Popular da China, África do Sul, the correct would be BRICS - Brasil, Rússia, Índia, República Popular da China, África do Sul. Someone made a mistake writing Рússia instead of Russia. Eduardo Augusto (talk) 07:16, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
OK - I now understand and I think fixed - I was looking in the wrong place - sorry  . Regards Herby talk thyme 10:55, 25 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

spam edit

Thanks for the note -- sorry for volume, unfortunately there is probably still a lot to go; I still have a couple thousand search results to sift through even just from the searches I have open. Gnomingstuff (talk) 13:54, 18 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Userpage query edit

Hi, yesterday you removed some text I put on user page Touchscreen1. I was asked to put this information on by another editor BANNER. Quote from BANNER: "Hi, I noticed that you made a lot of edits on Touchscreen. Seeing your user name (Touchscreen1) I was wondering if you work in that field. I am not well first in that part of computers/electronics, so I can not judge your edits very well. But it might be useful to declare on your user page if you have any work relation with the subject. Just to avoid any trouble. Can you do that, please? The Banner talk 11:09, 16 November 2023 (UTC)" Is it possible to reinstate the original text? If not can you let me know what I should do to satisfy Banner's request? Kind regards Ron Binstead Touchscreen1 (talk) 10:48, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Protection request edit

Hello.

Can you protect File:Brown rat distribution.png and keep it as it was originally uploaded, so that only administrators can upload and edit it? A user puts the unsubstantiated arguement that the entire Canadian province of Alberta, has no brown rats whatsoever and puts the arbitrary provincial boundaries as the distribution for the common brown rat, considering how baseless it seems that they stop at the provincial borders. The province has a presence of brown rats which are detected, which does not mean that it is totally devoid of brown rats.
