Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Salut. First, from you facts you provided, there does not appear to be any reason to change the name of the file. If there was concern over the flag's accuracy, that should be addressed in the description. Second, I'm not sure the proposed name accomplishes what you and Fry think it does -- it doesn't alert users that it is inaccurate. Given those two points, I am not really sure the flag meets the renaming criteria. Having said all that, though, I am glad to hear that you reached consensus, and I don't want to stand in the way of the agreement you reached. I may also be missing some key facts here. Moreover, seeing as how the 1960s version was moved to a new title, I'm not opposed to moving the flag (that is an accepted rationale for a move). Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Je vous remercie beaucoup pour votre proposition de transformer mon fichier jpg en svg. Ainsi il pourra être conservé. C'est d'autant plus bienvenu que l'usage de ce drapeau tombé inexplicablement et injustement en désuétude depuis les années 1960 va peut-être reprendre. J'ai contacté à ce propos la presse, le Maire de Paris et l'ensemble des élus parisiens.

Major changes needed on Ukraine war map

I saw you have been doing a lot of the editing on the Ukraine war map, by the way, very nice work. :) I wanted to point out that major changes are needed after today's events. AFP journalists confirmed no Ukrainian Army presence south of Donetsk or along the 100 km highway leading all the way to the Azov Sea coastline, which they confirmed is separatist-held. Starobesheve, about 30km southeast of Donetsk, confirmed by both locals, Ukrainian military and AFP to have been captured by separatists. Ukrainian troops surrounded in Ilovaysk, confirmed by its commander. Source here [1]. Further, Ukrainian military confirmed separatists captured seven villages north of Novoazovsk, while the major of the town confirmed separatists entered the town this morning making it at the very least contested.
