Alqueries edit

Hola! --Joanbanjo (talk) 19:31, 13 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Edifici misteriós edit

Wiki Loves Monuments Spain 2016 is coming!

Dear Enric,

As every year, Wiki Loves Monuments in Spain, an international photographic contest about cultural heritage in the Spanish territory, will start on next September 1st. On behalf of the Wikipedia community and Wikimedia España (WM-ES), and as a participant in former editions of the event, or in other photographic contests organized by WM-ES, we'd like to encourage you to participate in the 2016 edition. We do know that you've been keen on contributing your work to the free knowledge in the past and therefore believe that you'll be glad to help us again.

We want to inform you about a substantial change in the rules of the contest: this year only images of monuments or municipalities without previous photograph in Wikimedia Commons are accepted. To facilitate hunting monuments and municipalities without a free image, we have prepared a set of specific lists, which can be checked in the contest websites: wikilov.es/monuments or wikilm.es

If you have comments, questions or suggestions about the contest, they are more than welcome. You can leave them here.

We look forward to your free images!

Sincerely,

The team of Wiki Loves Monuments edition in Spain

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2017 is open! edit

You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2017 Picture of the Year contest, but not yet in R2.

Dear Enric,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2017.

Round 2 will end on 22 July 2018, 23:59 UTC.

A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:149 Escultures de José María Navascués, Museo Casa Natal de Jovellanos (Cimavilla, Gijón).jpg, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such works would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a map that has been altered from the original. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright.

Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you!

Saludos, Enric.

Enric (talk) 21:45, 1 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 è iniziato: partecipa anche tu! edit

Buongiorno Enric,

Qui puoi consultare Il regolamento completo e per qualsiasi dubbio puoi scrivere a contatti@wikilovesmonuments.it.

Ti aspetto! Grazie, --Ferdi2005(talk) 10:37, 6 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Patrimoni de Peníscola edit

Hola! Aleshores quan he vist que hi havies anat m'he alegrat muntó.

B25es (talk) 05:25, 12 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hola Enric,
I just by chance saw that your beautiful pic about a collection of Tintin objects displayed on a shop window in Barcelona is under attack of maybe be deleted. Beforehand, I would like to assure you, that the Esperanto wikipedia would be keen to locally store the file, and so can do several other wikipedia branches. Of course, that is not the same than having a file at display for all wikipedia branches ... but it is better than not to have it in public any more. Cheers, ThomasPusch (talk) 19:05, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Koran dankon pro via sugesto! Enric (talk) 19:09, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
ThomasPusch (talk) 23:28, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi, Thomas! I'm sorry, but my knowledge of Esperanto is extremely basic, so I don't answer you in that language in order to not making a lot of mistakes! (I don't even know if I make them writing you in English! And my level of German is poorer!). So, you can freely upload my image in your Wikipedia branch and rename it in Esperanto. Then I'll add the consenting sentence. Endavant! Enric (talk) 00:37, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
OK, I'll do. ThomasPusch (talk) 13:50, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Everything is in place, at: 108 Marcs Carreras, pl. Joaquim Folguera 1 (Barcelono), Tinĉjo en montrofenestro.jpg. You're free to add the consenting sentence. ThomasPusch (talk) 14:29, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
And about the knowledge of Eseranto, no problem of course. I still think you could probably read Esperanto better than I can read Catalá, though the Generalitat itself once once gave me a dictionary as a gift, and I, being very enthusiastic, in Barcelona bought additionally a textbook called Digui, digui - but, being back home, I borrowed both books to a friend, I don't even remember exactly which one, and never sow them again. I hope my friend is very fluent in catalan now thanks to my books. ThomasPusch (talk) 14:58, 18 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I see your experience with Catalan has been a little frustrating, also mine with German! I began to learn it at work, but with this modern system in which we had to read the learning book (in this case, Themen aktuell) and the teacher explained us the meaning, but when you asked her the way to make a past tense, for instance, she answered: "We'll study it later", but this "later" never arrived. Thus, I could say "I eat something", but not "I ate", or "I will eat"... And the same thing for prepositions and other particles: you only could say the sentences shown in the lessons! I need to know how a language works, not only a description of the final result, and I decided to stop assisting the lessons, because I didn't learn anything. Regarding my experience with Esperanto, it began in 1987, when I bought an old book in a used bookstore, Vocabulari català-esperanto / Vortaro Kataluna-Esperanto, by Frederic Pujulà i Vallès, published in 1909. It had an introduction of 40 pages with a summary of the Esperanto grammar. Some year later I bought the Teach Yourself Esperanto Dictionary by J.C. Wells. Ah, I added the consenting sentence in the picture. Kind regards! Enric (talk) 12:34, 19 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

REːBandera de El Talladell edit

Buenas tardes @Enric.
Cualquier asunto me comenta.
Tenga una buena tarde

Do you know a correct name (in whatever language) for this room in the Monastir de Pedralbes? Or do you know who would know? - Jmabel ! talk 23:01, 18 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Jmabel: I did'nt see this room when I visited the monastery. But I've found here this one is the Cel·la de Sant Joan. The text in Catalan says: "Today, Saint John's Day, we want to tell you about the cell of Saint John of the Monastery of Pedralbes. It was renovated at the beginning of the 20th century, as evidenced by the inscription 'Barcelona 12-10-1927', and it became the community's library. The vault is made of pine wood with the emblem of the Foixà family and the corbels [are made of] stucco with images of the Tetramorph, the guardian angel and Saint Michael slaying the dragon". If you look closely at image number 11, you will see that in the information panel on the right can be vaguely read "Cel·la de Sant Joan". Enric (talk) 02:04, 19 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
