File:Anton Goubau - Southerly Market at a Port.jpg rename request edit

Although someone else might look at this before I do so, this particular painting seems to have been sold under other names. See Christies, who sold it as "UN MARCHÉ PRÈS D'UN PORT DANS UN PAYSAGE MONTAGNEUX", which translates to "Market near Port in a Mountain Landscape". Is there perhaps an authoritative list? Personally, I dislike having the names of artworks not be what they were named by the artist, though of course there is not actual policy... Revent (talk) 08:14, 15 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

The name used by an "Institute of Art History" in his home country is authoritative enough for me. :) Not that I was disputing that you have the 'right' to request a rename, as the recent uploader, was just double checking. Revent (talk) 08:35, 15 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
